As per a leak, Samsung Galaxy A50 is receiving the February 2021 Android security patch. The over-the-air (OTA) release is based on Android 10 and is said to be rolling out in Thailand on smartphones. The study says that the update will be rolled out soon in other markets on the Galaxy A50, which debuted in India in 2019.

For the Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy A8 (2018) smartphones in some countries, the South Korean company has already released an update.

The February 2021 Android security patch for the Samsung Galaxy A50 has firmware update A505FDDU6BUAA, as per a study by SamMobile, and is based on Android 10. Samsung may have included some changes other than the new security patch, the study states.

The Samsung Galaxy S20FE and Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) have also received the new safety patch, as reported. In December 2020, the Galaxy S20 FE 40,998 got the Android 11-powered One UI 3.0 update, so the update on this smartphone is based on Android 11. This means Samsung has been carrying out price point changes for its smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy A50 has been introduced with an Infinity-U AMOLED 6.4-inch full-HD (1080×2340 pixels) display. It is powered by an Exynos 9610 SoC octa-core, coupled with up to 6GB of RAM. The phone has a triple rear camera setup, with a 25-megapixel main sensor, a 5-megapixel sensor, and an 8-megapixel sensor.

There’s a 25-megapixel sensor on the front. The phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor that supports 15W quick charging via USB Type-C port and packs a 4,000mAh battery.
